This female-specific coaching session is here at Lotts Wood, near Amersham. This is a two hour skills coaching session (plus 15 minutes of bike and clothing checks at the start!) is for adults 18+ and will be lead by qualified L2 MTB British Cycling Coaches Zoe Allsop and Tim Pie. The session aims to provide a safe and fun environment in which beginner and improver riders can identify areas for skills development and support each other in working on them together.
Please meet at 9.30am to register and be ready to ride for 9.45am. The session will finish at 11.45am. Please make sure you bring a drink and snack, helmet and gloves. Can you also please take a few minutes before coming to check your helmet fits properly and the bike is in good working order. Riders should be using a mountain bike or a hybrid fitted with gears and treaded tyres. Ideally bikes should have flat (not SPD-type) pedals, and given the flinty nature of the wood knee pads are a good idea too if you have them. Please make sure there is no loose clothing or shoe laces that could be caught on the bike.
There is a car park here in Weedon Hill Woods (opposite Lotts Wood) which will be open.
If you would like to join us (or would like more information) then simply book to confirm your attendance BY MIDDAY ON FRIDAY March 31st at the latest with a contact number for the day. WE ARE LIMITED IN NUMBERS TO ENSURE A FUN AN INCLUSIVE EXPERIENCE SO REGISTER EARLY TO GUARANTEE YOUR PLACE.
The cost of the session is £20 per Summit member. This session is not open to non-member of the club. This cost is to help cover the cost of leasing the land from the Forestry Commission and to carry out maintenance work.
