Come to our village to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the community's independent Museum and learn about some of the notable people associated with Thorney. 

Speakers will include:

Dr Rebecca Browett (University of Kent) - Topic: St Aethelwold of Winchester

Professor Patricia Fara (University of Cambridge) - Topic: History of Science ( Mary Smith - 1770 Commonplace book)

Helen Parker-Drabble - Topic: Life and time of Walter Parker, a son of Thorney.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided.


Thanks to the Heritage Lottery Fund for supporting this event, which makes it free to attend.
