Timings may be subject to change

 

Day 1

1.00    Arrival and Lunch.  Paperwork.

Welcome and Health & Safety Talk. Lunch will be provided, with any dietary requirements catered for with prior notice.

 

2.00    Move into bedrooms

Bedrooms will be pre-allocated. Enjoy time unpacking, making your beds (linen provided) and getting to know the building.

 

3.00    Woodland Adventure

Experience our woodland by creating a tribe, making a den or practicing your fire lighting skills without using matches!

 

Or

 

Farming jobs

We will do some work on the farm involving tools and muscles!  It may be digging, it may be wheel-barrowing, it will definitely involve energy!

 

Or

 

Team challenges

Cooperate as a family to work out various challenges; some require logical thinking, some require communication, all of them require working together.

 

5.00    Animal Feeding/Checking (Optional)

We will take the pigs their afternoon food, top up their wallows if needed and check in on the horses.

Anybody who doesn’t want to visit the animals at this point can take a well-earned rest back at the farm building!

 

6.00    Supper

Supper will be a wholesome, tasty two-course meal. Some food will have come from the farm, and we try to use as much local, free-range and organic food as possible.

 

7.00    Campfire and singing (optional)

Join in with songs and stories around the campfire

 

8:00    Free time

                        Please feel free to enjoy with evening with new friends and families.  A selection of games, and books are available in the dining room.  An age appropriate movie can be screened in the Granary.

 

 

Day 2

8:30    Breakfast

Breakfast consists of a variety of cereals, juice and toast, and every other day there will be a cooked course e.g. eggs and beans. Visitors are encouraged to eat a hearty breakfast.

 

9.30    Feeding the animals

Visit the hens and collect the eggs, feed the pigs and make wallows and visit the horses.

 

10.30  Break time with light refreshments and snacks

 

10.45  Craft Activity

     Make a memento of your visit to Magdalen, such as;

-       Woodland medallions

-       Clay boggarts

-       Natural walking sticks

11.45  Pizza Making for Lunch

            Finish your visit to Magdalen by making your own pizza that will be cooked in our outdoor cob oven. Pizza never tastes better than when you make it yourself!

 

12.45  Feedback and Departure

 

 

Snacks and drinks are provided in the morning and afternoon between activities or during breaks.
