Gaga Weekend

3rd + 4th June 2017 10:00-14:15

10:00-11:15: Gaga Class
11:30-12:30: Choreography Session
13:15-14:15: Improvisation Session

Gaga is the movement language developed by Ohad Naharin, parallel to his work as a choreographer and the artistic director of Batsheva Dance Company.

Gaga provides a framework for discovering and strengthening the body, adding flexibility, stamina, agility, coordination and efficiency while stimulating the senses and imagination. Gaga classes are predicated on listening to the body and responding to physical sensations.

Each day will be structured with a Gaga class, followed by a movement material/choreography workshop. After lunch sessions will explore the bodies possibilities in improvisation tasks.

The intensive is open to all dancers, physical actors, movers, people aware of their physicality that are willing to learn something new or to bring a different flavour to their daily training.

Extra places are available for the Gaga class only (morning session) at £10 per session per day. Booking for these classes can be done via the link below and selecting Gaga class Sat/Sun to book your place.
