Lakeside Arts Centre
This isn’t a training course. We have no grand theories about what makes customer service better, nor do we expect you to sit through lots of boring PowerPoint slides or patronising videos showing you how to provide customer service.

We already know that you provide great
services to students and Drama for Training helps to celebrate your success. We also know, that no matter how good you
are, things don’t always work out the way we want.
Using real situations which were identified by staff and students working together, the students will act out some really tricky service situations and we will challenge you to provide some solutions.
The Drama Bit
A group of real, current, living and breathing Undergraduate Students who use your services every day will act out some difficult customer service stories. Using your suggestions, the scenario will be acted out again and together we will explore what practical things can be changed to provide better service.
The Audience Bit
We want you to tell us what works and how to improve customer service. To help you do this you will work in groups, be encouraged to ask the actors questions and for those actors who you really want to quiz we can put them in the ‘hot seat’ or make them share their thoughts and motivations through the ‘thought bubble’ process.
The Admin Bit
Ten dates are available with early and late starting times across different University Campuses. Your supervisor will arrange with you the performance you can attend and you will be issued with a ticket to gain entry.
