Freemasons Hall
Early in the New Year we began running a series of workshops to assist Lodges and Chapters wishing to establish their own web presence, even where there is little or no technical expertise; the third of these will be on Tuesday 24 October 2017 at Freemasons’ Hall. The company that built the Metropolitan Grand Lodge website www.londonmasons.org.uk has developed a content managed framework for us that allows users to simply drop in text and some pictures into a predefined frame and easily create their own web site. This facility will include all hosting charges and a domain name based on freemasons.london, all at a very low cost of no more than £50/annum. This will also include 5 email addresses for use by the Secretary, Treasurer, DC, WM etc
The internet is now an integral part of people’s life. Lodges that have a web presence have proven better uptake in enquiries for membership from young people who choose to connect via the Internet using their smart phones and other mobile device. The workshop will present how your Lodge or Chapter can have a modern, professional mobile optimised site to enable communication with new and existing members.
