T.O.F.S. are delighted to be hosting Christopher Bower 3 AA Rosettes and 1 Michelin Star on the 14th and 15th July
Moving to London at the age of nineteen, Chef Director Christopher Bower has come a long way from the neighbourhood restaurants of West Yorkshire, working in some of the most respected restaurants and with some of the most renowned chefs; restaurants including The Ivy which is one of the most iconic celebrity restaurants in the world, Harvey Nichols’ flagship Fifth Floor restaurant and Snows On The Green, with chef Sebastian Snow.
Having worked in London’s West End for some time, Christopher decided to move out and take the Head Chef position at Mello Restaurant in Beckenham Kent. During his time at Mello, he was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand and 2 AA Rosettes.
More recently, Christopher was very proud to have spent seven years as Head Chef, followed by the post of Executive Chef for Thackeray’s restaurant Royal Tunbridge Wells. During this time, Christopher and his team were awarded 3 AA Rosettes and 1 Michelin Star among other prestigious awards.
While working in Kent, Christopher developed a keen interest in using local produce, learning to shoot game and forage. His passion for field to plate cooking is reflected in the menus he designs.
Asked to comment about himself, he says “I am a hands-on chef who enjoys working with like-minded people, people who have a general love for cooking, fun and eating great food.”
