Boogaloo X Farmyard present: The Herbaliser & Mr SwitchFriday, 28 July 201719:00 - 04:00-------The HerbaliserMr Switch (DMC World Champion)Jamie RodiganSi Tew-------
The Herbaliser
More than 18 years into their musical journey, The Herbaliser just keep getting bigger, stronger and better. It all began in the early 1990s when West London duo Jake Wherry and Ollie Teeba discovered a shared passion for hip-hop, rare groove, funk and jazz. James Brown, DJ Premier, Lalo Schifrin, Pete Rock and David Axelrod were some of the heroes from their formative years.
Both avid vinyl collectors, Jake and Ollie began using the freshest sampling techniques, coupled with Jake’s musical knowhow from playing guitar and bass, to create the early demos for fledgling label Ninja Tune. These tracks formed the core of their first album, Remedies, released in 1995. It offered an emphatically London-centric take on funky beats packed with samples, scratches and chopped-up rhythms. It remains an influential underground classic from the urban flipside of the Britpop boom.
Mr Switch
Mr Switch aka Anthony Culverwell is one of the most talented & successful DJs to come out of the UK - noted worldwide for his versatility, party rocking abilities & scratch skills.Having forged his reputation in the heat of battle, Switch's efforts finally led him to take the ultimate prize and become the reigning DMC WORLD CHAMPION in 2014, winning the longest standing DJ competition in the world. This is his 4th world title, following his back-to-back wins in the 'Battle For World Supremacy', 3 years in a row.
Jamie Rodigan

Originally hailing from West London, Jamie Rodigan has grown up with music in his blood. Being the son of the legendary radio broadcaster Sir David “Ram Jam” Rodigan music has played a pivotal role throughout his life. He developed a love for reggae music through his trips to Jamaica in his youth with his father. He was captured by the sweet sound of reggae music. His eclectic DJ sets today reflect these musical experiences growing up. It’s not just Reggae that has formed Jamie’s musical education. He was exposed to a wide range of music from Rare Groove and House to Jungle and Garage.
