The class will be from 10 AM to 6 PM at the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, Recinto de Hato Rey, 377 Ponce de Leon Avenue, San Juan, 00918 Puerto Rico in the Amphitheater (4th floor) of the School of Architecture

This course is designed for medical doctors ( MD). Upon completion they will be provided the final and necessary certification needed to be licensed to recommend medical cannabis.  

Other health professionals (doctors , physician assistants , nurses , social workers , therapists or counselors , psychologists , pharmacists and / or others involved in the care of patients who use or are potential candidates for the therapeutic use of medicinal cannabis and other cannabinoids ), in the same way graduates, engineers, architects, among other professions, are invited to attend the seminar, however, only medical doctors ( MD ) will receive certification to obtain their license.

Medcan Foundation has been approved by the Department of Health of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico as A Provider Of Training Certifications including but not limited to Cultivation, Manufacturing/Extraction, Dispensary/Occupational, Budtender, etc. in the Medical Cannabis industry with the authorized number: PMC-O-16-07-001. Medical Education certification for Doctors with the authorized number: PCM-16-00-001

Six (6) Category 1 CME credits are available for Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists, Health Educators, Psychologists, Nutritionists, Health Services Administrators, Chiropractors, Naturopaths, Occupational / Physical/  Auxiliary Therapists, Professional / Rehabilitation Counselors, Emergency Medical Technicians, Dentists, Radiology Technicians and Sonographers. These are accredited by Public Health Graduate School of Recinto de Ciencias Médicas.

Keynote Speaker of the seminar, presenting the subject of Regulation 8766 and the amendments 8847, will be the Lawyer Mayra Maldonado, Ex-Director of Legal Affairs Department of Health and control substances and medical cannabis office of Puerto Rico
