COMMUNITY INTEREST STATEMENT

The company’s activities will be carried on for the benefit of individual residents of Coventry and Warwickshire. Scale the Heights CIC is a functional fitness training facility operating to promote and enable functional fitness as a means of personal support, specialising in accommodating people with additional needs. The aim of the organisation is to improve the physical and mental health of the community we serve. Our processes are especially designed to benefit people who may have more complex needs than the typical gym going population. Including people with long term physical and mental health conditions. We also work to introduce young people to the benefits of undertaking regular physical activities as part of a healthy lifestyle.

We have drawn on our experience supporting vulnerable adults and running national fitness events to create a fitness experience inclusive to all by providing a supportive well equipped training environment, intimate coached classes for all abilities and a training structure presented in our accessible online training programme More Than Human. This programme is designed to enable our community to share in a training experience with accessible movements that can be progressed and regressed for all abilities.

Any surplus funds made by will be devoted to expanding the business to be able to further serve the local community.

We have experienced the benefits of functional fitness as support for improved personal wellbeing, and we are passionate about bringing this experience to the community we serve and are looking to develop this by collaborating with local organisations and authorities.
