Learn a new skill and meet new people

Master the traditional craft of hedgelaying. By laying correctly we can lengthen the life of trees, encourage new growth and thicken the hedge so encouraging a greater range of wildlife.
The course will be led by Giles Aspinall and will take place at Magdalen Farm from 11am to 3pm.
Places are limited so booking is essential - please wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear and bring a packed lunch. Light refreshments will be provided. Over 18s only please.
The session is being fully funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Magdalen Farm is accessible with the following modes of transport:
Car - we are located between the towns of Beaminster (Dorset), Crewkerne (Somerset) and Chard (Somerset). For further travel details please use the link here.
Train - our nearest train station is Crewkerne - 7 miles from the farm on the London Waterloo to Exeter line. Please arrange for a taxi to bring transfer from the station.
Bus - No 99 from Taunton to Yeovil stops at the end of the driveway to the farm.
