What you need to know

A great seafront 10k & 5k run in lovely Worthing. This run raises money for the Thrive Federation of Special Schools in Sussex.

This is a fast and flat 10k & 5k along the seafront in Worthing on an out and back route.

The event is to raise money for the Thrive Federation of special schools in West Sussex which is made up of Palatine Primary School, Herons Dale School, Oak Grove College and Cornfield School.  Palatine, Herons Dale and Oak Grove cater for children with special educational needs including moderate, severe and profound and multiple learning needs many of whom have associated sensory, motor and communication difficulties including Autistic Spectrum Conditions.  Cornfield School is for boys with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. 

Some of the projects the schools are looking to fund are; wheelchair accessible play equipment, a Forest School shelter, playground trim trail and surfacing, sensory equipment for calming room and refurbishment of a Food Technology room.

As with all of our events we organise, we will be using the very latest electronic chip/transponder timing. The event is fully licensed and certified with all results being submitted to runbritain rankings and the Power of 10.

There are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female,1st male and female VET40, 50 and 60 and a team prize (three to score).
