This May half term our workshop is a mix of fun recipes designed to encourage your children to try some new ideas and develop a variety of cooking skills including bread making, pastry making, fine chopping and grating.
They are all recipes that will want to make again and are perfect for lunches, snacks or picnics over the summer.
They can look forward to making;
Vegetable muffins, a win for you to encourage them to eat more veg and interesting for them as these are so packed with yummy ingredients it may have them trying things that they wouldn't usually eat.
Individual mince, olive and feta tarts, made with short crust pasty in muffin tins these will be delicious served warm or cold.
Lemon swirls, a twist on the traditional Danish cinnamon bun, they will love making the bread and filling these swirls, you'll love eating them with a cuppa, if they'll share!
For lunch they are going to make vegetable quesadillas and salsa then either with their lunch or for a snack break we are going to make the hidden veg banana smoothie. An absolute hit in our house to pack a stack of spinach into a snack, I challenge any of them to taste it over the sweet creaminess of a banana, they are sure to come home wanting more.
