What you need to know

Perivale Christian Bookshop is celebrating 30 years at a special evening with Adrian Plass and Charles Timberlake.

Adrian Plass is a British author and speaker who writes primarily Christian humour, but also short stories, Bible commentaries and novels with a more serious tone.

Adrian has at present written 36 books including three with Bridget and two with Jeff Lucas. He is perhaps proudest of his book of collected poems, 'Silences and Nonsenses' but he has a special affection for 'Looking Good Being Bad' which he says still makes him laugh! His favourite book is usually the one he is writing at the time.

His latest book is a further title in his ever popular Sacred Diary Series, Adrian Plass and the Church Weekend.

Charles Timberlake is a performer and composer of inspirational piano music. He has recorded eight CD albums of piano and instrumental music, the last six in collaboration with composer John Daniels. Their music can be heard regularly on Radio 2. His unique style of playing brings a deep sense of peace and calmness to the listener, and audiences at his concerts and recitals feel moved, calmed, inspired and uplifted.
