Start Times:

Please Note the start times: 5K run will start at 10:00am. 10K Race will start at 10.15am. There will be a warm up 10

minutes prior to the race start times.

Directions:

The event site is located along Hints Rd, Hopwas, Tamworth, Staffordshire B78 3AD. The event will be clearly signposted

along with directions to the parking facilities. Parking is chargeable at £2 all day.

Baggage Area:

Due to parking availability near the start and finish, there will not be a bag drop point.

Course:

The course is situated in scenic woodland. The 5k and 10k runs will be mainly on natural single track, dirt tracks and

some short steep descents. There are a couple of small bomb holes and some leafy forest sections.

Health and Safety:

A risk assessment has been carried out and this will be displayed near the start. Please acquaint yourselves with the

details of this to ensure you are aware of the hazards and the measures that have been put in place to reduce the risk

of injury.

First Aid:

First aid officers will be in attendance and will be clearly visible near the finish area.

Late Entries:

Will close promptly on the day at 09:30 for the 5K and at 9:45 for the 10km. There will be an additional cost of £2 for late entries. Please allow plenty of time.

Course Marshals:

The course will be well marshaled. For the safety of yourself and those around you please obey all instructions given

by marshals and officials.

Race Numbers/Timing Chips:

Race numbers and timing chips will be available for collection from the registration point. Please display your number clearly on the front of your vest or t-shirt. They must not be folded, cut or mutilated in any way, this will allow for clear recognition and

recording of your place at the finish line (or you may end up not being placed if it can’t be read). Safety pins will be

provided.

Water:

Will be available at the finish and also along the route.

Prizes and Presentation:

All competitors in the 5km and 10km will receive a medal and goodie bag upon finishing. Trophies will be awarded to the first male and female finisher for each distance.

Results

A set of tabular results will be displayed as soon as they are available on Simon’s Heroes facebook page and will be

emailed out to those participants who have provided an email address.
