How much truth can we bear?
Psychotherapy and an Environment in Crisis
Psychotherapy has an invaluable part to play in understanding the psychological and cultural drivers of climate change. It also has a great deal to offer in supporting resilience on a changing planet.
Sarah Deco will be exploring how to offer help to those wishing to make sense of, and take meaningful action in this new and frightening reality; suggesting that we may need to challenge some implicit assumptions of the psychodynamic method to do so.
Sarah Deco is an Art Therapist and Group Analyst and has worked in the NHS and private practice for over 30 years.
She is on the advisory panel of The Climate Psychology Alliance and is also a professional teller of myths, folk-tales and fairy tales.
