TK Stunts is a team of professional performers with years of experience in Film, TV and theatre, they are ready to give a taste of what it is like to be real life stunt performers. They will be revealing industry secrets, walking them through a normal day on a film set and letting them loose on an action sequence of their own, hoping to give the kids a glimpse into the film industry and open them up to a massive side they may not know much about. With this fun yet action packed workshop, all the kids will learn exactly what it takes to be a Hollywood Stuntman..

This workshop is all based around Film and TV. We will talk them through a day in the life of a stunt man. How you become one, what we do etc... Going through the basic stunts i.e falls and fights - making the fake look real, talking about SFX and green screens. All the way to the extreme stuff like getting hit by cars, bullet hits and being set on fire (I will assure you now, your kids will not be set alight). We will give a full fight sequence a try, while talking through and focusing on camera angles and behind the scene hidden tricks and reveal some of the magic behind making a movie. This workshop will hopefully open the students to another side of the industry and maybe inspire them to one day becoming a Hollywood stunt performer themselves.

Basic Day Outline 

9:30 - We introduce the kids to ourselves and the world of Stunts, talking about the involvement of Stunts in the film industry, how some Stunts are done showing some videos, explaining how dangerous what we will be doing is and talking over basic health and safety! We will also give them an opportunity to ask any questions they have! 
10:00 - Warm up and some exercises to prepare them for falls and punches
10:30 - We begin to go through a set of fight moves listing them as A (a push), B (a hair grab), C (a hook punch), D (throw to the floor), E (kick to the stomach) e.t.c... through out this we let them each have a try in their pairs at both being the one that gets beaten up and the attacker!
12:00 - In their pairs we now will give them the opportunity to put the fight sequence together in their own way, they will come up with their own dialogue, location and reason for fighting. As I said above we put each move with a letter, they then choose between themselves in what order they want to put each move and create their own sequence and we will then go around to each pair discussing 1 on 1 what they are doing and making sure they are doing it “safely”

13:30/13:45 - We get their heads back into a safe environment and talk them through the basic falls. This will be stuff like ‘jerk backs - what they use in Harry Potter for wand hits’, how to land safely in a fall, breaking the fall from a height. This will be a nice bit of fun for the kids and let’s them get some excess (dangerous haha) energy out before getting their heads back in the room for the fight sequences
14:30 - they get back in their pairs from earlier and recap/finalise their fights, ready to show the parents at 15:00!
