Our story

Every summer, the University of Glasgow’s College of Science and Engineering hosts a Science Slam, an evening in which our research students present their own scientific research work in a given time frame in front of a non-expert audience. The focus lies on teaching current science to a diverse audience in an entertaining way, making this a great evening for scientists and the general public alike.
At the end of the evening, the speaker with the best presentation is chosen by the audience as the Science Slam winner.
For more information on the next event, be sure to follow us on Facebook @ScienceSlamGlasgow! We’ll be posting information on our presenters as the event nears, and sharing photos and video clips from the night itself.
