Welcome:

You will meet your crew and instructor for the practical course at 7pm on the evening before the course starts on the following morning. The first evening is relaxed, and a chance to get to know each other over a crew meal ashore. The next morning you will prepare to set sail and you will spend the next 5 days exploring the Solent and South Coast. The route you take and the ports you visit will be weather dependent - and part of the course will cover appropriate route planning.

You will return about 3.30pm on the final Friday.

What's Included:

All mooring fees are included in the course fee, as well as the loan of high quality waterproof jacket and trousers. All day time food and 3 evening meals are included on board, allowing you two evenings to enjoy a meal ashore (the first evening, plus one another). You will also receive an RYA Day Skipper Practical Certificate (Tidal). Please bring a passport photo for your certificate.

Pre-Requisites:

100nM, 5 days and 4 night hours on a sailing yacht. Minimum age 16.

Ideally you should hold the RYA day skipper theory certificate or similar standard

There are no pre-requisites for this day sail, and no previous sailing experience is required.
