What you need to know

This workshop is by invitation only to a group of PhD student and early career researchers in the field of dementia.

Building on the thinking, sharing and networking at the Forging new Frontiers conference held on 23rd April 2018 & identified as one of the needs at this event we are delighted to offer this 90 minute workshop.

This informal workshop will look at the landscape of research funding for an Early Career Researcher. Focused on your own dementia research it will provide an opportunity to learn about the opportunities available; how to build and maintain your research networks; potential pitfalls and challenges, and a chance to pick up practical tips to better enhance your research journey.

The workshop will be facilitated by Al Innes, CAHSS Research Development Officer, University of Edinburgh.
