Broader context of this event

The University approved a new community engagement strategy in May 2016. Aims of the strategy include:

  • Establishing a community engagement community of practice across the University
  • Developing a holistic overview of the University's community engagement relationships, so that staff, students and external partners can be better supported with funding, training, etc.

Dedicated community engagement staff are based within the Department of Social Responsibility and Sustainability at the University of Edinburgh.
