Balboa taster class and tea dance: Balboa is a close-hold partner dance which began in a place called Balboa in California in the 1920s/30s. It’s traditionally danced to fast swing and jazz music and is one of a family of swing dances.

This taster class is suitable for complete beginners plus those who already have experience of other types of swing dance such as Lindy Hop or Charleston. Come and have a go, learn some steps, and then put them into practice at the tea dance which follows the class. Yummy tea and cake included! No need to book with a partner as we rotate in the class so everyone dances with everyone else.

Please wear smooth-soled comfortable shoes. Tickets £10 including tea & cake.
