ADYNA in partnership with Black History Ottawa's Connecting the Dots Project invite you to this exciting conversation with young leaders from diverse community groups and organizations for knowledge exchange.

The discussion will map out collective recommendations and ideas on how to tackle barriers to effective youth engagement on the civic discourse and  promoting inclusion.



Alpha Abebe - Project Manager at Wellesley Institute. Alpha has spent several years as an international and community development practitioner, and her advocacy and professional efforts have been largely devoted to young people from African communities.


Featured speakers:

Yamikani Msosa- Anti-Violence Educator and Activist. Yami works tirelessly on public education campaigns, public speaking engagements about strategies to challenge gender-based violence, anti-oppression and anti-racism.


Joannes Paulus Y - Youth Advocate. Joannes is a Research Scientist by profession and has represented the voices of youth at several spaces, including working groups convened by the United Nations Youth Advocacy Group, The Center for Universal Education, and UNESCO.


Natalie Domey - Analyst at the Government of Canada & Community Organizer. As a co-founder and the Director of Planning and Events for the Young Leaders Advisory Council (YLAC), Natalie works to create an environment premised upon diversity and inclusion and is passionate about uncovering the Black diaspora within the Canadian narrative.
