Newton Stewart & Minnigaff Traditional Music & Dance Festival present Emily Smith's annual Christmas show 'Songs For Christmas' live at Our Lady & St Ninian's Church, Windsor Road, Newton Stewart, on Saturday 15th December 2018 from 7:30pm featuring Emily Smith and Jamie McClennan.
The perfect way to start your Christmas holidays, Emily Smith presents a beautiful blend of original and traditional songs drawn from her folk background combined to inspire and celebrate the festive season.
From humble beginnings in a rural farm shop in 2012 Emily has honed a unique, family friendly Christmas night out. In 2016 she released the accompanying album from which her song 'Find Hope' was play listed on BBC Radio 2. Her material has also been featured on BBC Songs of Praise Christmas special.
Sing along with traditional carols, tap your toes to upbeat instrumentals or simply close your eyes and let Emily's evocative voice help you dwell on the joy and peace that Christmas can bring.

Our Lady & St Ninian's RC Church is situated on Windsor Road in Newton Stewart, Wigtownshire. Simply take a right at Dashwood Square onto Church Street, with runs alongside the Starfish takeaway restaurant, and continue on to York Road passing Newton Stewart Museum on your left and Newton Stewart Tennis Club on your right.
Once past the tennis club, you follow the road around to the left which brings you onto Windsor Road. The church is situated just up the hill on your right.
We'd advise parking on York Road and walking the short distance to the church.
