Herbalism is a practical and ancient craft which connects us to seasonal rhythms and gentle healing practices. Much of this wisdom has been lost today. By coming together and learning to identify, harvest and use plants, we can begin to re-cultivate this relationship.
WHAT WE WILL DO TOGETHER:
Sipping on herbal tea infusions, we’ll look at 10 different local wild herbs, discuss basic botany and learn how to cultivate our 'organoleptic' (the fives senses) abilities. We will discuss correct harvesting and drying methods as well as take some cuttings. After a light lunch participants will make their own fresh plant tincture to take home.

Lily is a herbalist and permaculturist from Victoria. She has a background in native plant propagation and has been growing her own food since she was young. She built and lives in a tiny house, travels around collecting herbs, making them into tinctures and running workshops. She has been working for the last few months in Tasmania at Goulds Apothecary's herb farm, and is excited to share her new plant friends.
