The College's Industry & Innovation Day will take place on Wednesday 30 October 2019 at the Queen Elizabeth Teaching & Learning Centre, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital campus.

The conference will provide fresh insights and informative sector-wide discussion around the UK Government's Industrial Strategy and funding opportunities underlying the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund (ISCF). We are delighted to present an exciting speaker programme to lead discussion about how academia, NHS and industry can align with government priorities and funding to deliver research excellence and economic impact.

The afternoon will see our delegates break into interactive workshops to provide practical advice, support and opportunities for collaboration around the ISCF.

Getting to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital campus

The Queen Elizabeth Teaching & Learning Centre is situated on The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital campus and is easy to get to. It is located just a few minutes from the M8 and within a few hundred yards of the Clyde Tunnel. The Queen Elizabeth Teaching and Learning Centre is 1st left from Govan Road, along Langlands drive and just before the Neurology Building. It is easy to locate on the hospital campus due to its distinctive gold colour.

  • BY CAR
The event venue is accessible by car but parking around the hospital is limited. For delegates unable to find parking on the main hospital site, there is parking available on Hardgate Road near the Queen Elizabeth Teaching and Learning Centre for £4 per day.

  • BY BUS
Details of bus routes for getting to the hospital are listed
here.  First Glasgow Hospital Connect services 34A and 77 directly serve the hospital. Service 90 travels through the campus. Going from the University, the 77 route picks up at the stop across from Botany Gate on the Gilmorehill campus.

The new Fastlink bus route provides speedy links from Glasgow City Centre via the Arc Bridge (Squinty Bridge). At peak times there will be a bus every minute arriving at or inside the hospitals campus. Click
    here for the Fastlink routemap.

  • BY SUBWAY
The Govan Subway station is a 25 minute walk. Buses for hospital grounds are at street level bus stop, not the terminus. The F1, X19 and 26 connect Govan subway to the hospitals.
