Stagecoach are delighted to announce auditions for not one but two extraordinary events! Please read all the information below and make sure you select which events you Student is wanting to audition for during the Booking Process. There is a £35.00 fee for students to attend the audition workshop, which is non-refundable. For Students who would like to audition for both events, need only to pay one fee.

Summer Showcase 2019 - The Sound of Music

After the success of this years production of Footloose, we are excited to announce that we will be presenting The Sound of Music as our 23rd Summer Showcase production in August 2019. Our Summer Showcase is an opportunity for Stagecoach Students from the UK and Overseas to take part in a two-week residency near London and then perform in a ‘professional’ theatre production.

To take part in our Summer Showcase, students will need to take part in our workshop-auditions. We welcome students from 10 years - 19 years and no previous experience is necessary, just bags of enthusiasm for our fun workshop-auditions in early 2018.

The workshop will be divided into sections where you will work on different elements of the show. Your family/friends will be invited to arrive 15 minutes before the end of the workshop to watch a small presentation of our work.

Once all of the workshop auditions are completed the audition team will select 80 students to make up the 2019 cast. Students who are invited to join the cast will then spend two weeks from 2nd August to 17th August with our incredible production team at St Mary’s University to rehearse and then perform the show at a professional theatre. For children who live long distances from St Mary’s University, boarding facilities are available.

Please note:

• The eligible age group for this production is 10yrs -19yrs. Students under this age range will not be permitted to audition.
• Once accepted into the cast, students must remain at Stagecoach until the end of the Summer Term 2019.

Disney Performing Arts presents ‘Behind the Magic’ in January 2020

Have you ever dreamed of shining on a Disney Stage?

This brand new & unique programme is designed to take you through all the necessary steps to get there, ensuring that each student has an exciting and educationally valuable glimpse into our world of professional entertainment!

The framework of the course which is directly linked to the Stagecoach educational framework, and also links into Key Stage 4, A level and BTEC performing arts course consists of multiple work sessions with Disney professionals, encompassing dance, acting, singing, audition skills & stage performance. All aimed at developing students' confidence in their ability to work, learn and achieve their full potential.

A full onstage rehearsal will happen before the park opens to the public, culminating in a performance on a Disney stage to an international audience.

An additional highlight will be the opportunity to interact with Disney show directors & artists in an exclusive Disney Performing Arts Q&A session.

• The eligible age group for this event is 14 years+. Students must be 15 years old by 1st January 2020, Students under this age will not be permitted to audition.

• This event is Parent accompanied only.
