Building Partnerships for Impact

The University's Knowledge Exchange & Engagement Conference will take place on Tuesday, 5 February, 2019 from 12 o’clock onwards on the main campus.
The theme of this year’s conference is "Building Partnerships for Impact". The half-day conference will explore why collaboration beyond academia is important, showcase best practice and provide information on the support and infrastructure that is available, both within and out with the University, to help build partnerships.
The conference will comprise a mix of keynote presentations, a panel Q&A, and interactive workshops. There will also be time to network with colleagues and speakers.
We will be announcing the winners of our Knowledge Exchange & Public Engagement Awards at the conference.

When completing your booking you will be asked to select which of the workshops below you would like to attend:
(1) Business Partnerships - This session will showcase a successful academic-industry partnership, describing how the partnership started, challenges faced and outcomes. We will also hear from an academic who has successfully created a new venture to lead the exploitation of research generated opportunities.
(2) Public Engagement Partnerships - This session will focus on organising and evaluating impactful public and community engagement activities.
(3) Public Sector Partnerships - This session will celebrate some of the partnerships our academic staff have built with public sector organisations. The session will cover practical advice on how to built relationships with public sector partners and discuss how working in partnership has led to successful outcomes.
