Living with Loss

Inevitably, loss is something that affects us all and yet we often find that we are ill-prepared to deal with its consequences.  This loss can take many forms, e.g. bereavement, divorce, separation, identity, freedom, faith, hope, confidence, well-being...  It is an untrodden path in which it’s only too easy to compound our distress through unhelpful coping mechanisms.  During the day we will seek to understand the personal, emotional journey.  We will look at how its possible to get 'stuck', and importantly how we can grow through loss and become better equipped for life.  We will consider how we can overcome obstacles and ‘let go’ while holding onto positive memories.  In essence, Living with Loss attempts to lift us above loss rather than letting it dominate our lives.

Ian and Carol bring a wealth of experience through over 30 years in pastoral ministry and prison chaplaincy.  They passionately believe that loss need not be your master but rather it can be your character builder.

BY ROAD - Mulberry House is situated on the A414 at High Ongar, Essex. If you are travelling from the M11, exit at junction 7 and follow the A414 towards Chelmsford. Remaining on the A414 pass over three mini roundabouts. The House is on the right, 0.6 miles past the "Four Wantz" roundabout (BP Service Station). If you are travelling from the A12, exit at junction 15 and follow the A414 towards Harlow, you pass over 2 roundabouts and then Mulberry House is situated on your left.

Bus No. 420 (501 on Sunday) - Harlow, Epping Train Station, Ongar, Brentwood Train Station.

Bus No. 32 - Chelmsford Train Station, Highwood, Blackmore, Ongar. 

Bus No. 46 - Chelmsford Train Station, Roxwell, Willingale, Fyfield, Ongar.

Mulberry House is a 10 minute walk or short taxi ride from Ongar High Street.
