JOIN US FOR A CREATIVE WRITING WORKSHOP
Dancing with Death: Reading, Writing, & Talking with it Too
The Gemmell Collection belonging to the University of Glasgow Archives and Special Collections contains images of the Dance with Death, which feature skeletons leading the living in a dance to their death. Representing people from all walks of life, the images encourage us to explore our thoughts and feelings on mortality.
On Thursday, 7of March 2019, Amy Shea, a PhD Student in Creative Writing, will be hosting a free writing workshop where you’ll have the opportunity to do some creative writing responses to images of the Dance with Death.
If you can’t make it in person, you can still respond electronically, which you can find on my website. Send up to two image response via the email below by 10 March, 2019.
Participants have the option of including their creations in a one-time journal showcasing the creative writing responses to this project!
