Carding Mill Valley
By signing up for this you are not entering the event, but helping us gauge interest - if enough people are interested we will see what we can sort out!!
Hopefully bank holiday in May would be a good time to rerun the cancelled race from Feb and will see the return of one of the most epic half and full trail marathon’s to hit Shropshire, with runners tackling 13.1 or 26.2 miles of the beautiful Shropshire Hills and The Long Mynd. 9AM Start!
This would be on the proper icing on the Cake course and not simply using the May 4th route.
The route covers a National Trust haven and the start will be in Carding Mill Valley. The finish is also in the valley nearly opposite the National Trust tea rooms. The course will be fully marked but runners must carry a map and compass of the the area. Runners will also be expected to carry a rucksac and a minimum of 1lt water bottles and a 1st aid kit.
Carding Mill Valley is just a stone thrown from the beautiful town of Church Stretton which has a train station within a mile of the start. The post code for the start is SY6 6JG
Prices are £30 for the Half and £32 for the Full (attached prices) and this includes a blingtastic medal and well stocked drinks tables out on the course.
We have been involved in event management for over 13years working on all race distances from 5K’s right up to Ultra Marathons. We are actively involved in the course build of numerous OCR’s that take place in the UK. When we launched How Hard Can it be Events, we wanted to make running events fun and put on events that we would want to take part in ourselves. That is why we have worked hard to host smaller, friendlier events, where people can relax and get to know people and enjoy the whole running experience. We think this philosophy is what makes us stand out from the crowd.
