Queensmere Lake
WATER ACTIVITIES (MINIMUM AGE 8 YEARS)
If you intend to take part in any of the activities on the lake such as Sailing, Canoeing,
Paddle Boarding, please bring along Swimwear, a towel and a change of clothing.
There will be a safety boat on the lake manned by Royal Yachting Association staff.
There is a beautiful swimming pool that can be enjoyed by everyone, or stay dry and try
out the lakeside Coarse Fishing lessons.
COURSE FISHING LESSONS
There will be expert fishermen on the lakeside giving lessons on how to course fish and
have fun at any level.
NATURE TRAIL
For younger children there is a Nature quiz with clues dotted around the lake & woods.
Ask a Steward for a sheet or just enjoy a walk around the lake in the shade of the trees.
RAFFLE
We will be holding a Raffle during the afternoon with some great prizes, the proceeds
will go to the Metropolitan Grand Masters Appeal.
BOXING LESSONS
First watch the display and then climb in the ring for some lessons. All ages welcome.
FALCONRY
Discover the excitement of holding a live, working bird of prey. Bring your cameras.
GENERAL
It will be very hot and sunny so please make sure that you have sun protection with you.
You may wish to bring a picnic rug or somesuch to sit on the beautiful lawns.
There will be Met Grand Stewards moving around the garden dressed in blue tabards with
the Metropolitan logo on them, if you need any assistance please ask one of them.
