Gaga Class Short Course 23rd May - 27th June

Thursday evenings 7-8pm

£60 for six weeks

Following four sold out Short Courses at the Monkey House in 2018 and two sold out courses in 2019, we are delighted to welcome back Chisato Ohno for another six week Gaga Class Short Course, with the introduction of Rebecca Scheinberg as fellow teacher!

Gaga People classes are open to any person, regardless of their background in dance or movement. No previous dance experience is needed. Gaga People classes last for one hour, the teacher will guide participants using a series of evocative instructions that build one on top of the other. Rather than copying a particular movement, each participant in the class actively explores these instructions, discovering how he or she can interpret the information and perform the task at hand. Gaga People classes offer a creative framework for participants to connect to their bodies and imaginations, increase their physical awareness, improve their flexibility and stamina and experience the pleasure of movement in a welcoming, accepting atmosphere.

Participants should wear comfortable clothes and be prepared to dance barefoot or in socks. It is advisable to bring a bottle of water and a towel for use after class. Please note that due to the short duration of each evening, late comers won't be allowed into the session, so please ensure that you arrive early. The studio will be free to use from 6.30pm for you to warm up.
