Terms & Conditions

The two aims of the Parents Sports Day are to raise money for the PTA, and to have fun (and provide entertainment!) at the Hawthorns Summer Fair. The event will last for around 1 hour, and all participants will get a voucher for one drink at the PTA bar at the end of the competition.

Events will be based on suggestions from the children, and will be announced on the day. There may be individual or team events, but all rules will be clearly defined, and judges decision will be final. There will be no stewards enquiries, video replays, TMO, etc... anyone not abiding by the rules will be disqualified, and will not get their drink voucher!

You must be a parent or guardian of a current Hawthorns pupil. The event is not open to older siblings, friends, or grandparents. They are more than welcome to come along and support you though!

By purchasing a ticket or tickets, you, and anyone you are purchasing tickets for agree with the following statements:

• I am a parent/guardian of a child who currently attends Hawthorns school.
• I voluntarily agree to participate in this Parent Sports Event and give my consent to do.
• I am over 18 years of age.
• I understand there are risks involved in participating in this event and I willingly and voluntarily accept these risks and agree to release and discharge the Hawthorns PTA, it’s officers and agents from all liability, claims or demands for any damage, loss or injury in connection with participation in these activities, unless caused by direct negligence of the PTA.
• I certify that I am physically fit, have sufficiently trained for participation in this event and have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical person.
• I hereby consent to receive medical treatment that may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during this event.

This shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under the applicable law.

Privacy Policy:

We will use your email address to send a reminder and any other details (training schedule, etc) in the run-up to the event. Your contact details will not be used for any other purposes, and will not be stored after the event.
