Midland Canoe Club - see the map on the Club web site
There will be no access to the clubhouse from June 24th to July 12th as the access track is being surfaced. As a result, we are unable to run any activities during this period.
This is the final stage of improving both access to the site and the site itself, providing a hard surface all the way from the road to the pontoon.
The next taster session is on July 18th.
The Midland Canoe Club runs Taster Sessions for beginners at the clubhouse during the summer months - essentially during British Summer Time. Booking for these sessions goes live two weeks before the session.
All equipment will be provided but try to avoid wearing cotton or denim trousers and shirts. Nylon or man made fabrics that shed water are ideal. Please bring appropriate footwear you don't mind getting wet, along with a dry set of clothes and a towel. If you have any medical conditions or are taking any medication please inform your instructor on arrival.
The Clubhouse has male and female changing rooms with showers.
Sessions are £10 per person, payable on the night.
Starts: Thursday, July 4th 2019 at 6:15pm
Bookings close: July 4th 2019
The clubhouse is reached by a private lane along the west side of the
river. The lane starts where Old Lane in Darley Abbey meets the toll
bridge. The clubhouse is marked on OpenStreetMap.
