SWAP Study Skills Day for Science Students

The aim of this event is to allow SWAP students to get a better idea of what degree level study is like and a realistic understanding of the skills and attributes you will need in order to gain entry to and succeed at university. It’s also a chance for you to speak and ask questions to SWAP staff, university admissions and academic staff and chat with former SWAP students who are now at university.

The day will include:

• Transition from college to unviersity
• Q & A with former SWAP students
• Life as a first year student
• Referencing
• Getting the most out of lectures
• Sample university lecture
• Practical biology or chemistry or engineering lab sessions
