The option to develop your theory 6 QI proposal with the support of our in-house QI team in the University's dedicated QI space.
Friday January 24th 2020
Edinburgh Napier University Craiglockhart Campus, Annexe (see instructions)
This optional two hour workshop will provide attendees with the opportunity to work in small groups to focus on identifying areas where improvements can be made, and to start to explore tools and techniques in order to make an improvement proposal with the potential for real achievable positive impact.
The workshop is facilitated by Steve Yorkstone, Edinburgh Napier University's Business Improvement Consultant, and internal QI expert. Steve has almost 15 years experience applying lean-type quality improvement in Higher Education. In 2016 he published "Lean Universities" in the Shingo Research Prize winning Routledge Companion to Lean Management, and in 2019 edited the book Global Lean for Higher Education: A Themed Anthology of Case Studies, Approaches, and Tools.
The workshop will make the most of the University's own QI space at our Craiglockhart campus, and will give attendees the experience of working in a real-world QI space.
Bring your ideas and your energy. Expect an interactive workshop, small group discussion and experiencing practical tools.
This workshop will not tell you what to write for your QI Proposal, but, will give you support to identify a good idea, and then structure your proposal using real world QI tools and approaches.
