Off Flavours in beer

This training course is aimed at beer lovers (both experienced and less experienced), who want to understand more about why a beer might not taste as it should.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• state where off flavours come from
• describe some of the more usual off flavours in beer and why they occur
  
• identify some beers that are meant to have 'off flavours'
  

To the standards of CAMRA 

In total, 6 beers will be tasted.

This course will be conducted using social distancing*. If due to Government guidelines the course has to be cancelled, participants will be offered an alternative date or may choice to have the fee reimbursed.

At the end of the course, you have the option of gaining a Certificate of Attendance or, after taking a quiz, a Certificate of Competency. The course is independently accredited by People 1st, who are part of the Guild of Hospitality. This course last around 3.5 hours.

No prior experience is necessary. The venue will be downstairs at the Bohemia, home of the London Brewing Co.

* Unless in pre-booked groups (maximum 4), participants will be allocated to a table with only one other person on it. The 2 people on each table will be sat at least a metre apart and will not share pens, glasses etc to protect health.  Any further queries, please contact the organiser.
