Men's Breakfast: What does it mean to love our neighbour?

CSW (Christian Solidarity Worldwide) is a human rights organisation specialising in freedom of religion or belief for all. Their specialist team of advocates work in over 20 countries across Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America to ensure everyone’s right to freedom of religion or belief is protected and promoted. They work to challenge and change the laws, behaviours and policies which lead to abuses of this vital right. For the past 40 years, CSW has mobilised people all over the world to call for religious freedom. They hold governments to account and demand justice for those being punished for their faith – from pastors in prison, to children excluded from education, to young women who are abducted and forced to convert and marry.

A passionate advocate for the right to religious freedom, Mervyn is a member of the World Assemblies of God Religious Freedom Commission, Chairman of the Religious Liberty Partnership (an international network of organisations focused on religious liberty) and is a member of the Foreign Office Advisory Group on freedom of religion or belief. Mervyn has been Chief Executive since 1999, and was one of the founding members of CSW almost 40 years ago. He is married to Wendy and they have two children.
