During the course, guided by your tutor, you will also have the opportunity to explore the Carymoor Nature Reserve and find out more about the amazing creatures that live amongst the willow.

The course will be held in our outdoor classroom, so please wear suitable clothing. We would advise that you wear long trousers and sturdy shoes.

three-rod wale and pairing.

The post code for the Carymoor Environmental Centre is BA7 7NR. If using Google Maps please search for Dimmer Landfill Site near Castle Cary, as we share the same main gate.
By road: Coming off the B3153 on to Dimmer Lane, you’ll see a sign for the Dimmer landfill site and Recycling Centre. Follow this road until you come to a farm on a left hand bend and turn immediately right. You’ll see the signs here for the Dimmer site and for Carymoor. At the end of this road you’ll pass the recycling centre on your right and come to some traffic lights at the main gate of the landfill site.
Keep going up over the hill, past a large compost operation on your left, and at the bottom of the hill you’ll see the centre and the car park on the left hand side.
