CAMRA's Tasting Panels - what they do

CAMRA has a number of Tasting Panels around the country and each Panel has input into CAMRA's Good Beer Guide and the Champion Beer of Britain.
This online session will help you to understand what they do as well as giving you an opportunity to try creating of beer descriptions yourself.
By the end of this session you will be able to:
- State what a Tasting Panel does
- Explain how beer descriptions and beer scores are arrived at
In line with CAMRA’s Tasting Panel guidelines
We will cover:- The role of a Tasting Panel Member and what you need to do to join a Panel
- How Tasting Panel members create beer descriptions and assess a beer
- CAMRA's tasting card
- Taste 3 beers
You will need to purchase 3 beers
Session will last about 2 hours
Participants are asked to purchase the following beers that are generally available from supermarkets.
- Beer 1: Oakham Citra
- Beer 2: Fuller's London Pride
- Beer 3: Guinness West Indies Porter
