This course will offer an overview of what teaching in reception involves and how things progress and change throughout the year. We will look at assessments, observation and classroom systems which will make running a successful reception class both manageable and fun!

You will leave with an understanding of:

• Key early years documents and when or how to use them.

• How pupils progress over the year and knowledge of Good Level of Development (GLD). • How to assess accurately and where this can be implemented into planning. • Numerous strategies and systems to make teaching in the early years fun and engaging for children and manageable for you!
