Centre Supporitng Voluntary Action
About our Event:
This event is an introduction to the condition around Anxiety, OCD & Tic Disorders (such as Tourettes Syndrome) and how it affects individuals with it.
What do others think of our other talks?
Feedback from diagnosed individuals, family members, teachers, LSA and others who attend our meetings are always very positive. Here are just some of the messages of feedback from prior events:
ADHD+ Support is a Voluntary sector charitable organisation raising
awareness of ADHD (Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder) and its
many coexisting and associated neurological and neurodevelopmental
conditions. Through a range of services we provide personal experiences
of ADHD, offering information, signposting, and an
unparalleled understanding as to how all aspects of ADHD impact the
family unit and beyond. We aim to help close the delta between brain
power and personal achievements. As a charity we also provide access
to funded practical support for low income families.
Coexisting and associated conditions include Opposition Defiant Disorder (ODD), Bipolar, Tourette’s Syndrome (TS), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Anxiety and Personality Disorders, Learning Difficulties and Chiari Malformation and more.
Fundamentally we aim to provide the highest quality support, and see each individual as a person as a whole and also as part of a wider family and community. We cater for much more than getting by in life but rather our ambition is to help them excel and achieve their full potential in all areas including social, education and working careers.
