This session explores the long-standing challenges that attend reading development. It analyses the 'reading gap' and considers the potential impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on reading outcomes.

 

Session 2 - Practical Strategies to Prioritise Reading

'Practical Strategies'

This session explores practical strategies that apply to key aspects of reading e.g. curriculum development; vocabulary and reading; reading fluency; reading comprehension strategies.


Session 3 Planning and Next Steps 

'Planning and Assessment'

This session supports structured planning and making decisions around effective monitoring and assessment of school wide reading.
