Tuesday, June 1, 2021
The Monkey House, London, United Kingdom
1, 8, 15 June
19:00 - 22:00 every night
The short course concentrates on exploring the possibilities of artistic expression through
the body. We will experiment by improvising, experiencing task-based exercises both
individually and in a group.
Creative work must be a living, exploratory process that maintains an awareness of
theatrical traditions. During the session, we will refer to selected aspects of one of the
most influential creators of 20th-century theatre, Jerzy Grotowski.
The encounter, the process and the body of the contemporary performer will be the subject of our practical experiments in the field of performance.
Each participant will experience working on performance in different forms and find
constructive feedback while sharing the material.
And all in a friendly and playful atmosphere!
