Gaga is the movement language developed by Ohad Naharin, parallel to his work as a choreographer and the artistic director of Batsheva Dance Company, http://gagapeople.com/english/. Gaga provides a framework for discovering and strengthening the body, adding flexibility, stamina, agility, coordination and efficiency while stimulating the senses and imagination. Gaga classes are predicated on listening to the body and responding to physical sensations.
The intensive is open to all dancers, physical actors, movers and people aware of their physicality that are willing to learn something new or to bring a different flavour to their daily training.
Natalia was born in Poland and is now a freelance dancer and Gaga teacher based in London. She finished her Master’s in Theatre in Cracow and completed her degree in dance at the Dance College in Wroclaw, Poland. From September 2010-September 2012 she lived in Tel Aviv exploring the Gaga movement language and was a part of the first Gaga Teachers Training Programme, certified by Ohad Naharin in 2012.
Natalia has taught Gaga in professional contemporary dance schools such as Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds (UK) and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London (UK) as a guest teacher. Natalia has worked with dance companies and theatres such as NDCWales in Cardiff (UK), Phoenix Dance Theatre in Leeds (UK), Central Europe Dance Theatre in Budapest (Hungary), Studio Matejka in Wroclaw (Poland) amongst others.
Natalia is working as a dancer and choreographer, developing international projects and is one of the founders of London based NaNa Collective.
