This course informative and interactive workshop will introduce participants to some general classroom approaches for promoting learning, in addition to sharing three evidence-based interventions. These interventions are precision teaching and direct instruction (aimed at developing accuracy, fluency and maintenance of basic academic skills); paired reading (for improving engagement and progress with reading); reciprocal teaching (a small group approach to developing reading comprehension skills).
