This course is focused on enabling participants to gain an understanding of factors that influence mental health in the classroom and wider school community.
Key content includes sharing of the latest data and research regarding mental health and considering how mental health issues may present in behaviours and warning signs. The course will provide practical ideas and signposting to resources and will also give an opportunity for participants to action plan for both whole school and individual pupil needs relating to mental health. Strategies to support and develop staff wellbeing and self-care will also be covered.
It is suitable for staff working with both primary and secondary ages and in mainstream and special school settings.
