Summer school at The King's Church of England Academy 

The school is offering an opportunity that will help to bridge the transition gap that has been created as a result of the recent surge in COVID cases in Newcastle-under-Lyme borough.  As the school has been directed by Public Health England to cancel all transition events during the academic term due to the bubbles in each school and the surge in 11–18-year-old positive cases, our summer school has 60 places available. 

The summer school will run from Monday 26th July 2021 until Friday 30th July 2021 - those who choose to attend will be expected to attend every day of the summer school.  The provision runs from 8:45am until 3pm and children will be expected to bring their own lunch.  The focus of the summer school is on supporting the children to become familiar with the school, the children and the staff.  Activities will be led by our qualified teachers, with daily sporting activities for all.

Children will need to wear casual clothes that are suitable for sport, and must wear trainers.
