This statutory training for administering the Phonics Screening Check (PSC) is intended for teachers who have not administered the check before or would like to have refresher training.
The aims of this session are for delegates to:
• confirm their understanding of age related expectations for pupils by the end of year 1
• review ongoing assessment and tracking of phonics (phonics and early reading DD)
• consider possible interventions prior to or post the PSC
• discuss the implementation of the screening check 2022 (Key Stage 1 ARA and Test Administrators Guidance) for year 1 and year 2
